Micro-blogging

A question to ask? An idea to suggest? Good practice to share? The micro-blogging tool turns informal communication into corporate knowledge and fosters collaboration. Every item of the feed can be commented on and can serve as the starting point for a discussion with your colleagues.

Documents upload

Each user can upload, tag and share his or her documents with various teams. Those documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) can then be downloaded from a single interface.

Different versions of each document are conserved to make it easier to produce content collaboratively.

Web links sharing

The YoolinkPro plug-in allows you to save, tag and share in a couple of clicks any information you find on-line. There is a plug-in for each browser.

Each web page you save is also copied to ensure you will always be able to access the information again.

Rich content news feeds

Each document, link or discussion you save is automatically published on the relevant news feeds, including news feeds from your groups.

Video from Youtube, Dailymotion and Vimeo as well as uploaded video can be seen directly from the news feeds. Likewise, uploaded mp3 and slideshare presentations are featured in the news feeds to make content more accessible.

Send content to specific people

After you publish a document, you can notify specific teams or people. Users are grouped by team, so it is easy to suggest content or documents to the right people.

Writeboards / wikis

The writeboard allows users to co-create documents intuitively. Each version is stored and writeboards are published in relevant newsfeeds, tagged and found like any other kind of information.

Advanced search engine

The search engine, tag cloud and different filters allow you to find documents, links and discussion instantly. You can search in the company's knowledge base or on a particular user's profile.

When you search for content on a specific topic, the search engine will also display the most active users on that particular topic.

Events

A meeting to organize? An achievement to celebrate? Or even an after-work party? The event feature makes it easy to create and share events with your colleagues.

People can answer in one click, and check their events on their phone, calendar or others tools thanks to the iCal export.

PDF visualization

Each time you upload a PDF file, a thumbnail is created and added to the news feed. People can visualize the PDF directly without donwloading the file and opening an external reader.

Public profiles

Each user has a public profile that everyone can see. This profile features the user's picture, phone number, email and area of expertise, and their documents, links and discussions. Each user can also access a private personal space with its own documents and suggestions.

Comprehensive Directory

The directory makes it easy to find your colleagues' phone numbers or emails, or to check their profile. People are grouped in teams to make it easier to find them.

The directory is also the place where you can decide to follow, in a single click, new users or other teams.

Customize the information you get

Each user can customize his or her feed to get only the information he or she is interested in. Follow a person, a group or filter keywords to narrow down the kind of topic that will be published in your news feed.

Interests' groups

Groups are essential in YoolinkPro. They make it easy to distribute information among the right people. Everyone can follow the various groups, but only administrators can create new ones.

YoolinkPro does not replace your current IT infrastructure. Your Intranet software and YoolinkPro will work hand in hand to improve your content's distribution and increase your IT ROI.

The API allows you to plug your software into YoolinkPro: users' activities on corporate software (Intranet, Calendars, Blogs, Wikis, EDM, CRM, etc.) are published on the various news feeds and shared with the right people and communities.

LDAP integration (SSO)

Authentication API allows you to connect YoolinkPro to your corporate LDAP so your users can enjoy a Single-Sign-On. The API is RESTful, easy to implement and communicates in a secure way (SSL, private/public keys).

  1. The user connects to YoolinkPro on his corporate computer
  2. If YoolinkPro does not detect an open session for that user, it redirects the user to the connector for identification
  3. The connector asks the corporate directory if the user is known and checks that he is authenticated
  4. The connector sends the user back to YoolinkPro with a signed session-opening request

Hosting options

YoolinkPro is available in shared hosting but also in dedicated hosting on the cloud. The dedicated hosting offer includes unique features such as unlimited users, 1TB storing, and 1TB/month bandwidth .

The unlimited plan is also VPN enabled and provides you with direct access to the database for backup. Dedicated hosting is available in the United States, EU or Asia.

Share Google Docs easily

YoolinkPro allows users to access information and documents through a customized news feed. The news feed and browser plug-in makes it even easier to share Google Apps documents and manage their read/write rights.

SmartPhone web app

Users can access their news feed from their SmartPhone (iPhone, Blackberry, Androïd). They can also search or save on-line articles.

Desktop app

The Desktop application allows users to keep in touch with their teams even when they are not logged onto the service on a web browser. From the Desktop app, users see new content, can upload files and can search the knowledge base.

RSS exports

News feeds are available as RSS feeds so webmasters can automatically publish some information on their intranet or internet. At Yoolink we use this feature to update our website with new press releases automatically.

Email alerts

An email digest is sent periodically. It highlights the most important activities that take place in the users' communities.

On-going moderation

Administrators can moderate the service directly from the news feeds. They can edit or delete any contribution anywhere on the service.

Instant messaging

Instant messaging allows users to chat easily with members of their network. It is possible to switch status to "on line", "away" or "off-line" so you are not disturbed while working. If a user is on-line, you just have to click on his/her name to start a discussion.

Private groups

Private groups allow administrators to protect sensitive information. Private groups can only be created by administrators and each new member has to be approved manually to access data. If a user publishes information in a private group, the information shows up normally in private members' home feed, so security does not lead to complexity.

Photo albums

Albums, as their name suggests, are stacks of pictures. You can upload several pictures at the same time for speed. Just like any other feed item, albums can be posted in one or more groups and can be filed using tags.

Sticky notes

A sticky note is a news item - web link, file, wiki page or message - that has been highlighted by an administrator. Each sticky note shows up above the news feed on the home page and is highlighted in yellow. The news item can still be found in the feeds and be commented or liked.

Statistics

Statistics are available and allow administrators to assess their community management and improve it. Several indicators are available, for example the number of users who have activated their account or the number of users who have contributed recently. Together these indicators give a precise picture of how active a corporate social network is.

Comments and Likes

The "Like" feature allows users to show in one click that they are interested in a specific document. Users will already be familiar with this kind of feature, especially if they already use services such as Facebook and Twitter.
